Mrs. Joe Wienke

Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Wienke was born in Baartz Brandenburg, Germany, November 29, 1829, and died November 27, 1906, at her home in Algonquin after prolonged illness.

Mrs. Wienke was married in Baartz Brandenburg, Germany, to Jos. Wienke. They came to America in 1861 and located in Dundee, but lived there only a short time when they went to Hushen Grove, where they lived for four years, then moving to Algonquin, where they have since made their home. For the last 14 years Mrs. Wienke had been unable to leave the house, and for the past few years was cared for like a child, part of the time not even recognizing her own children.

Mrs. Wienke leaves to mourn her loss a husband, Jos. Wienke, a son, Jos. Wienke, Jr., and a daughter, Mrs. Chas. Kublank, all of Algonquin. The funeral service was held on her birthday, Thursday, November. 29, at 10 o'clock, from the house, then to the German Lutheran church, Rev. Moldenhauer officiating. Interment in the Algonquin cemetery.
