Edward Thompson

In the death of Edward Thompson, his family and our school sustained a great loss. “Ned” was taken sick February 5th, with lung fever, and died on the 12th. The funeral services were held at his home on Saturday and were largely attended. A choir from Algonquin rendered an appropriate song service. The bearers were school mates selected by Edward, being George Arps, George Bommer, Wilson Smith, Frank McNett, Frank Tomisky and Louis Smith. The interment was in the Algonquin Cemetery. In the great loss which we all feel, this community extends to Mr. Thompson and family its most heart-felt and sincere sympathy.
